Went for a family meal here, it was very good, drinks are very pricey yet even some of the food options that you think would be expensive were pretty reasonable. More of a special occasion place for me but certainly worth a try

We went to attend our cousins wedding. This place is very nice. Decor was excellent. I really liked the area next to reception. Nice and relaxing. Had a look at all their whiskeys. Very good selection. Looked online at their rooms and they were equally very nice.

We booked this hotel as our wedding venue due to the package offering which ticks most of the boxes that we’re looking for. We booked this venue for a year and a half to allow time to save and we picked the right date where families and friends from both Scotland and England are able to attend. A couple of weeks before the wedding, we finalised some details and the manager has managed to bring 2 additional staff for discussion. This has helped to ease off the pressure slightly known the manager will be on holiday then. I was impressed that the staff were able to make preparation for my wedding ceremony and wedding breakfast a few days before so I felt calmer and excited. We have brought a lot of our goods to the hotel, a day before the wedding, to ensure smoother efficiency for the day. Even little touches to represent my Chinese culture has helped to personalised the day as I how I would imagine. Me, one of my bridesmaids and MIL stayed over at a hotel where we both enjoyed our lovely sleep. We head to the conference room and had continental breakfast while getting pampered by the stylists. The manager was kind to allow me and BMS to drop our stuff in the honeymoon suite before the ceremony. Event supervisor was excellent help for announcement during our ceremony, wedding breakfast and evening dance. Our day was perfect! It was a massive wedding to manage so a huge credit to their team for providing excellent service and for creating a wonderful day from decorating the bar area to arranging drinks for guests, sorting out mics to moving tables and chairs for the evening. Our day could not have gone better without all our help so we would like to thank you all so much for your time, effort and help in planning this. xxxxxx

On arrival there is a very good sized parking area. Check in was easy and reception was nice and clean. There is a nice seating area to the right of the reception with some halls that can be hired out. Also the restaurant is tucked around the corner from the lift. My bedroom was a really good size with plenty of space. The bed was also very comfortable. You have a good sized bathroom which has a shower and bath which is great. You also get an iron and iron board in your room, tea and coffee but you don't get complimentary biscuits like most hotels with your refreshments. At dinner time I went with the fish and chips but for £27 I was very underwhelmed. A bit of fish about 8 chips and a small bowl of mashed peas to me was not worth the money. They have a good range of whisky to choose from The staff were first class and cannot fault anyone.

The dining experience was truly exceptional, featuring a delightful array of dishes that highlighted the rich flavors of traditional Scottish cuisine. Each plate was meticulously prepared, showcasing locally sourced ingredients that offered a genuine taste of Scotland. The service was outstanding, with attentive staff who were knowledgeable and eager to ensure a memorable meal. Additionally, the impressive selection of Scotch whisky was a standout, offering a variety of fine options for connoisseurs and newcomers alike. Overall, it was a remarkable establishment that artfully combined high-quality food with a warm and welcoming atmosphere.

Good hotel rooms great, good food but not much on the menu, service could be a bit better, that's why I've marked that a four, but overall we had a good stay.
